Description De Poste

role is for a telecommunications infrastructure analyst with a focus on Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) systems. The position is temporary initially for a duration of 3 months with the possibility of converting to a permanent position later (temp-to-perm). The ability to communicate in both French and English is preferred, with bilingualism being a desirable skill.

The job involves analyzing requests for changes in the telephony infrastructure, assessing their impact on existing applications, and suggesting appropriate changes. It also includes performing Moves, Adds, Changes, and Deletions (MACDs) on the telecommunications infrastructure based on customer requests. Monitoring the availability and capacity of Voice services, as well as handling incidents/problems and providing cause analyses to implement fixes in operational mode, are key responsibilities.

The role requires interacting with suppliers to resolve incidents and managing activities in accordance with internal service agreements (SLAs). The candidate will need to produce operational reports and improve monitoring and management tools.

Additional responsibilities include providing Level 3 support for VoIP infrastructure, interfacing with different vendors to resolve complex issues, and offering on-call operational support for all aspects of VoIP infrastructure. Collaboration with an architect who monitors all projects and provides recommendations will be necessary.

Required skills for this role include a bachelor's degree related to the industry and/or a minimum of five years of relevant experience. The candidate should have good experience with VoIP technologies such as Cisco Suite (Call Manager, Unity/CUC/UCCX, Expressway, Cube, Webex), Microsoft Teams, Audiocode, SIP, H323, MGCP, RTP, and QoS. Additionally, in-depth knowledge of IP networks, network routing/switching, and firewall is required. The candidate should be well-versed in the SIP protocol and have familiarity with collaboration tools (chat, video, fax, peripherals like headphones). Knowledge of contact center systems like Genesys and NTR is also mentioned as a requirement.
