The Civil Aftermarket group aims to keep flight simulators up to date so that they are at the cutting edge of the various aeronautical improvements that the industry offers. Our employees design innovative solutions to meet technological challenges on a daily basis.

The System Software Specialist (SSS) is part of a highly customer-facing group that provides post-delivery technical support to CAE’s customers, contributing to the company’s goal of being the Flight Training and Simulation Partner of Choice.

Combining the chance to gain experience and acquire new expertise on varied systems, with the opportunity to apply knowledge, ingenuity, and creativity to solve problems and tackle new challenges in the ever-changing landscape of customer support, the role of the SSS offers flexibility, professional growth, and networking throughout CAE’s world-wide network of training centers and customer base.

The role we are offering you:

• Interact with customers around the world.
• Set up and coordinate efforts to address issues using remote support.
• Opportunity to travel on short term trips to customer sites for specific problem solving.
• Investigate, isolate, and resolve flight simulators deficiencies.
• Become a technical expert of a specific system but not limited to those listed:
• Implement engineering software changes.
• Electrical, Hydraulic, Pressurization, Communication, Brakes, Fuel, ACARS, Landing gears, etc.

We are looking for someone who:

• Bilingualism in both French and English is required.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Knowledge of C, C++, or other similar programming languages.
• Ability to adapt to new environments.
• Knowledge of the civil aviation simulation environment, an asset.
• Willingness to occasionally work irregular hours.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Sciences.
• Resourcefulness, initiative, good interpersonal skills
