Job Title: Virtual University Program Coordinator
Job Type: Internship
Eligibility: Open to continuing students in accredited universities/colleges only.
Location: Remote
Time Commitment: Part Time
Salary: $25 per hour
Assignment Context
Are you a student passionate about empowerment of initiatives dedicated to serve the vulnerable in East Africa? Do you have further skills in coordination, program development and human resource support to share? We would like to meet you! As a Virtual University Program Coordinator Intern, you will help in arranging virtual interview for interns and host organizations in Uganda, Tanzania and Canada. To succeed in this role, you must beorganized and detail-oriented, comfortable working with diverse cultures. The goal will be to facilitate theeffective management of the internship programaccording to the organization’s standards.
The ideal candidate MUST be a student currently enrolled in an accredited university/college.
Responsibilities
- Ensure implementation of policies and practices
- Manage communications through media relations, social media etc.
- Schedule and organize interviews and maintain agenda
- Support planning and coordination of a program and its activities
- Support growth and program development
- Ensure technology is used correctly for all operations (video conferencing, presentations etc.)
- Help build positive relations within the team and external parties
Qualifications
- Knowledge of program management and development procedures
- Tech savvy, proficient in MS Office
- Proven experience as program coordinator or relevant position
- Detail-oriented and efficient
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to work with diversity and multi-disciplinary teams
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Project Description
InternEasy is a social enterprise under Mwache Shuleni. Since January 2017, Mwache Shuleni has been successfully empowering young mothers and their children in East Africa fight against poverty through vulnerable education programs. The goal of InternEasy is to enable all students find affordable internships through which they can begin to engage and connect with East Africa and its people, knowing that some of these interns might become valuable partners in the continued struggle against poverty throughout the region.
Hiring Process
- Interview session will last 30-40 minutes
- Expect feedback in not more than 7 days from the time of the interview
- Interview venue will be over Google Meet with camera on (unless communicated otherwise)
- Interviews will be held in mid August 2023
