We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Program Coordinator for our thinkAG Career Initiative. As a Program Coordinator, you will play a key role in coordinating and implementing career development programs and activities aimed at connecting students with the diverse career opportunities available in the agricultural industry. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students and contribute to the future of agriculture.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with subject matter experts and educators to create engaging and informative materials that support agricultural education and career development.
• Manage the development and/or updates of thinkAG educational resources, ensuring high-quality content and alignment with industry standards.
• Communicate and liaise with provincial member organizations to develop and execute the thinkAG strategy, aligning goals and fostering collaboration.
• Lead the revision of thinkAG.ca website, ensuring a user-friendly and visually appealing platform, and perform regular updates to keep content current.
• Create, update, and maintain comprehensive career profiles on the website, providing valuable information and resources for students and young professionals.
• Establish and cultivate relationships with other groups and stakeholders to amplify and promote thinkAG initiatives, enhancing reach and impact.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or related experience in communications, agriculture, education, or a related field.
• French bilingualism an asset.
• Proficiency in computer applications and online platforms for program management and virtual engagement.
• Proven experience in program coordination, preferably in an educational or career development setting.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, industry professionals, and educational institutions.
• Knowledge of agricultural industry trends, career pathways, and educational resources is a plus.
• Passion for agriculture and a genuine interest in supporting the development of future agricultural leaders.
• Knowledge of the agricultural industry and understanding of the career opportunities available within the field.
