Cerner Powerplans Consultant Jobs

Background:

Our client is a regional / provincial Health Authority in Canada with over 10K employees. They are looking for a few consultants to support PowerPlan implementation, a Cerner (recently acquired by Oracle) a set of orders that are grouped together to communicate care for a patient.

They are looking for support to expand the implementation of Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) in tertiary sites, activating next in 2 major hospitals. The CPOE stream encompasses the implementation of guided electronic ordering for diagnostic tests, medications and specialist referrals. Medication safety focuses on closed loop medication management, including bar code medication administration and includes interaction checking, medication reconciliation and electronic management of medication histories.

The go lives are early next year with computerized provider order entry (CPOE) and a “closed-loop” medication administration and management system. They are looking for consultants who fit the following requirements.

• Experience using Cerner DCP Tools (PowerPlan Tool, Order Folder Maintenance Tool)
• Experience using Cerner Bedrock (Quick Order Build)
• Experience in building Cerner based Single Phase PowerPlans, Multiphase Power Plans, Minisets, and Quick Orders, Medication Order Build is required.
• Experience in Validation and Testing of build, and support seeding of train domains for end user training is preferred (the ability to jump between both activities).

These opportunities can be initially up to 5 months and for the right candidates with options to extend for a year or more as needed. There has been past instances where the work has continued for over 5 years because of the overall match. Compensation is competitive as per market rates.
