Responsibilities
The Unit Clerk contributes to the effective operation of the nursing unit by acting as the central communication person (for the unit). The Unit Clerk performs reception, clerical and administrative duties following hospital policies and procedures while maintaining a high standard of maturity and discretion in handling confidential matters.
Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrates problem-solving and decision making skills
• Typing and computer experience
• One year of related experience, or one-year related program
• Competencies in other languages preferred; French an assetSuccessful external applicants are required to provide a criminal record check (including Vulnerable Sector Search) to People Services before starting employment and assume any associated costs as a condition of employment
• Grade XII
