About The Opportunity
Reporting to the Health Services Manager, the Ward Clerk is responsible for registering patients; filing; processing physician orders; distribution of reports; performing data entry on NSHiS; typing correspondence and reports using medical terminology; receiving and distributing mail; maintaining workload and statistical data; and other job-related duties as assigned.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

• Graduate of a post-secondary secretarial or office administration program or equivalent required
• Ability to work in an area with frequent interruptions
• Proficient keyboarding skills
• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Graduation from an approved Medical Terminology course required
• Demonstrated knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications

Hours

• Permanent Full-Time/ 100% / 70 Hours Bi-weekly

Compensation and Incentives
$20.09 - $21.90 Hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
