About The Opportunity
Under the direction of the Health Services Director, Veterans Services, this position provides administrative support to the Camp Hill Veterans Services leadership team. The administrative support provided includes Human Resources functions which include creating job requisitions,, coordinating the job competition process such as organizing skills testing and scheduling, setting up, and preparing for job interviews. This position provides support to schedule meetings, take minutes, make inquiries and gather information on behalf of the medical director, managers and staff. Other important duties include payment of invoices, petty cash transactions, purchasing of materials, maintaining records of staff licensure, and coordinating with IT, Engineering, and outside contractors. In addition, the administrative assistant will respond to requests and inquiries and assist with manager, colleagues, and stakeholders on an as-needed basis, including coverage with other administrative staff in the portfolio.

About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Competencies in other languages preferred, French an asset
- Two years recent experience in a related administrative role required
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritizing, organizational and customer services skills required.
- Ability to deal with a variety of contacts and large volumes of information, both in electroic and hard copy format
- Advanced working knowledge of computers required, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Database Programs
- Experience utilizing technology to create efficiencies and streamline tracking and retrieval of information.
- Ability to work under pressure with regular time constraints
- Demonstrated competencies requiring advanced skills and abilities in all facets of modern office practices and technology and with information and meeting technologies.
- Grade 12 plus graduate of a recognized office administration / business / secretarial program or an equivalent combination of education, training and progressively responsible experience
- Ability to organize and coordinate, while being attentive to detail
- Frequent and prolonged use of technology
- Experience taking and producing minutes
Hours
- Permanent Full-time Position; 70 hours bi-weekly
