ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you a technology enthusiast with a strong background in creating and maintaining technical documentation looking to make your next move?

We are FRAMOS, an international product-driven tech company of more than 180 amazing people from all over the world. We are looking for a Technical Writer to join our team to achieve our strategic goals and grow our organization further.

Reporting directly to the Head of Product Management based in Ottawa, Canada, you will be working closely with a team of global product managers and engineers.

Your responsibilities

• You will collaborate with Product Management, Engineering and other subject matter experts in Canada, Germany and Croatia to improve our products on an ongoing basis.
• You will be responsible for creating and maintaining product and developer documentation such as datasheets, factsheets and user manuals.
• You will act as a “beta tester” of our products to generate content early in the process to be available at product launch.
• You will work with our Technical Solutions and Support team and directly with customers to improve documentation and enhance user experience.
• You will maintain a repository to track documentation and affiliated references.
• You will create new internal and external documentation as well as review and rework existing.
• You will support Product Management and Marketing in content generation and review.

The role can be based in one of our offices in Europe (Munich, Zagreb or Cakovec), Canada (Ottawa) or remotely in Canada (Ontario), Germany or Croatia.

YOUR PROFILE

As a Technical Writer, you live and breathe our company core values in all your activities and drive them through your team.

• You have several years of experience with common documentation tools and frameworks, including script workflows and desktop print publishing environments.
• You are a technology enthusiast and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others.
• You can explain and simplify complex concepts and processes, and communicate technical content concisely and effectively.
• You have proven experience in a similar role in technical writing.
• You are familiar with InDesign, Photoshop, Git, GitHub, reStructuredText and ReadTheDocs.
• You are English language fluent written/verbal, German language considered a bonus.
• You would like to work in a fast-growing international environment, team of subject matter experts.
