You will be responsible for creating and maintaining product and developer documentation such as datasheets, factsheets and user manuals.

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure documentation accurately reflects software and technology products

Continuously review and update documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness

Participate in the release process, including reviewing release notes and ensuring documentation is updated accordingly

Previous experience with preventative maintenance plans

Previous experience reading drawings to understand limitations on inspections

Search and find related asset data (drawings and previous inspection history) on SAP and shared drives

Identify the asset type based on the available data and fill the “asset type” column in the tracking spreadsheet

Assign appropriate Bentley inspection checksheet (grouping of indicators) to each asset

Identify inspection frequency in spreadsheet, based on existing inspection procedure document

Bachelors or Master’s in Electrical Engineering degree with 12+ years of experience in the power electronics or motor control industry.

Knowledge of switch mode power supplies.

Work with customers, other Microchip business units, and Product Line Marketing to define new and innovative products.

Create application notes, reference designs, and other material to support customers.

2-3 tech articles you've written that demonstrate your writing abilities

Write a minimum of 8 Evergreen Feature articles per month, with no upper limit

Stay up to date on the latest Android news, products and updates

You have more than 2 years of experience working on a software or machine learning engineering team

You have experience building data pipelines and ETL processes for large-scale datasets

You have experience working with unstructured and/or human-annotated data (e.g., collecting or assessing sample quality).

You have experience with ML frameworks such as Tensorflow, TF-Serving, JAX, and XLA/MLIR

You have strong communication and problem-solving skills, preferring the right tool for the job even if it’s outside your wheelhouse

Support product experience team as the LMS Admin responsible for student enrollment, closed captioning, report generation and more

Support product experience team as the Support portal admin, managing content and the look and feel of the platform

Experience working with help authoring tools (eg. Madcap, Robohelp) a bonus

Review and edit technical documentation, including software design documents, release notes, eLearning scripts and more

Support the technical writer in document review, including release notes and email correspondence

Support the technical writer in editing and creation of new user guides & developing help articles

Liaising with technical staff, operations management and client’s representatives to ensure quality in reporting.

Ensuring reporting aligns with quality management initiatives.

Coordinating various NDT reporting by performing data entry, compiling reports and surveys, report preparation, distribution and submission.

Prior NDT industry experience preferred.

Equivalent industry experience combined with other formal training and accreditations may be accepted.

Reviewing field drawings and inspection reports and editing for accuracy and completeness.

Obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and project requirements by working with management and other stakeholders.

10+ years of hands-on technical writing experience.

Excellent writing and technical writing skills.

Experience within the Oil & Gas industry preferred.

Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.

Edit training materials written by instructional designers and/or subject-matter experts (SMEs).

Technical writer role with good communication skills who can work with the development team for documenting BRDs and FRDS .

Should have good oral and written communication skills with power point skill sets.

The candidate should be good in SQL, should understand Database code and prepare the documentation.
