About The Opportunity
The Ward Clerk reports to the Manager, Medical Oncology and Hematology and is responsible for the following:

• Receipt and distribution of mail
• Patient registration
• Filing
• Maintaining workload and statistical data
• Distribution of reports
• Processing physician orders
• Other job related duties.
• Data entry on NSHiS
• Typing correspondence and reports using medical terminology

About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

• Ability to work in an area with frequent interruptions
• One year Secretarial or Business course or equivalent education and experience
• Medical Terminology Course
• Demonstrated knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
• Proficient keyboarding skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• One (1) year experience in the clerical field
• Competencies in other languages an asset; French preferred
• Grade 12

Compensation and Incentives
$20.09 - $21.90 Hourly
