Rock Solid Supply Inc. (RSS) is a privately owned manufacturer and distributor of bathroom vanities and accessories to retailers across Canada. RSS is looking for an innovative, experienced, and well-organized Marketing Director to join our Team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an entrepreneurial, high growth company that is focused on creating beautifully designed bathroom furniture.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Marketing Director will be responsible for providing guidance to our marketing department, planning and coordinating marketing efforts, communicating integrated marketing plans to stakeholders, and building awareness and positioning for our company's brands. You will also be working closely with our sales agencies to develop a pricing strategy that will help us maximize profits and market share. Finally, you will be accountable for organizing trade shows and major events.
To be considered for this position, you will need a bachelor's degree in business, marketing or communications. You will also need to have proven experience in leading a marketing team and marketing campaigns. High competency in project and stakeholder management is a huge advantage.
Marketing Director Responsibilities:
- Coordinating marketing projects from start to finish.
- Overseeing social media marketing strategy and content marketing.
- Working with our sales agencies to identify potential customers, support lead generation efforts, create promotions, and develop pricing strategies to maximize profits and market share while balancing customer satisfaction.
- Communicating the marketing plan.
- Researching demand for our products and services and conducting market and competitor research.
- Working with our strategic marketing partners.
- Planning, directing, and coordinating marketing efforts with our internal team.
- Overseeing our marketing team.
- Overseeing organization of Rock Solid’s conference/trade show presence, and major events.
- Understanding and developing budgets and finance, including expenditures, research and development appropriations, return-on-investment, and profit-loss projections.
- Building brand awareness and positioning with our strategic marketing partner.
Marketing Director Requirements:
- Proven ability to manage budgets.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Experience in B2B and B2C is an asset.
- High competence in project and stakeholder management.
- Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing and content marketing.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Interest in continuous improvement and professional development.
- Proven marketing campaign experience.
- Professional and proactive work ethic.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in cabinetry and/or furniture design an asset.
- Experience in manufacturing and/or lean manufacturing, an asset.
- Experience in marketing and leading a marketing team.
