About The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Pharmacy Services, the Pharmacist is responsible to ensure safe and effective drug therapy by participating in and overseeing drug distribution systems (inpatient and outpatient) and supervise pharmacy support staff. As well, to identify drug-related problems and initiate steps to resolve them. Pharmacists also work on selected medical services, participate in medical rounds, provide discharge medication calendars and counseling to patients and make therapeutic recommendations to the medical team.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
  • Ability to make accurate and timely recommendations regarding safe and cost-effective use of drugs
  • Strong knowledge of drugs and therapeutics
  • Graduate from a recognized university program in Pharmacy
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Minimum two years experience in clinical practice in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred
  • Licensed to practice Pharmacy in the Province of Nova Scotia
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program preferred

  • Permanent / 100% FTE / 75 Hours Bi-weekly
Compensation and Incentives
$43.46 - $52.98 Hourly
