About The Opportunity
The NZ Psychosocial Oncology clerk reports to the manager of Northern Zone Cancer Care and is responsible for ensuring smooth information processing, flow and support for patients, their families, physicians, and the health care team while contributing to the efficient daily operation of the NZ Psychosocial Oncology Team, including supporting NZ Cancer Patient Navigators, NZ Social Worker, and NZ Drug Access Navigator. Daily functions are reflective of the service provided by the Cancer Care program, including Psychosocial Oncology Services, and at times Ambulatory Systemic Therapy Clinics and General Practitioner Oncology Clinics .

About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Minimum of one (1) year experience supporting Cancer Care programs preferred
- Graduate of a post-secondary secretarial or office administration program or equivalent required
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a health care setting required
- Proficiency in computer applications for Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams is required
- Successful completion of a recognized Medical Terminology course is required
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrate Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks required
- Ability to work in an area with frequent interruptions
- Proficient keyboarding skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team required
- Previous work attendance may be considered
- Experience with EFR, Megamation, SHARE, SAP and MFUs preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in current Meditech applications preferred (Admissions/OE/EMR)
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- Ability to forward think and present new ideas to improve work flow considered an asset

- Permanent Full-time Position; 70 hours bi-weekly
