Working Arrangement
At Home

This role can be remote or hybrid and can be based out of Canada, the US or the UK.
Reporting to the Head of Institutional Marketing, North America, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of marketing strategy and campaigns for Manulife Investment Management’s institutional private equity and credit business.
The role will work across our private equity co-investments, senior credit, junior credit, private equity funds, and GP-led secondaries strategies, building brand awareness and driving AUM in line with corporate objectives. This role will work with marketing partners and key business collaborators across regions including Toronto, New York, Boston, Hong Kong, and London.

On The Job You Will
  • Work closely with global digital, social, editorial and CX teams, to develop and implement marketing campaigns designed to raise awareness and promote our private equity and credit strategies to institutional clients.
  • Work closely with the analytics team to ensure all activity is tracked, measured, and reported against critical metrics. Continuously assess results and adapt approach to ensure continued improvement and effectiveness.
  • Build and implement a global marketing strategy to support the growth of our private equity and private credit business.
  • Work collaboratively with portfolio managers, business development, and investor relations teams across private equity co-investments, senior credit, junior credit, private equity funds, and GP-led secondaries to extract and interpret content for sales materials, thought leadership and investor communications.
  • Identify, develop, and implement key strategic client events to support institutional business development.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong ability to create, compose and edit written materials that are impactful and compelling.
  • Excellent people management skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams, internal clients, and distribution teams of all levels. Ability to influence collaborators and drive outcomes.
  • Experience in investment management and/or financial services is required; solid understanding of the private equity and/or private credit industry, products, and audience.
  • Results-oriented and execution-focused within a fast-paced environment with time sensitive projects, while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
  • High level of creativity combined with strong business sense to deliver dynamic and effective messages and solutions.
  • Strong digital marketing skills and expertise/experience using such techniques with an institutional audience.
  • Strategic problem solver, with the ability to create and roll out both strategic marketing plans and tactical campaigns.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements impacting private equity and credit product development and marketing.
  • Experience working with centralised marketing teams, marketing content management systems and workflow systems.
  • 10+ years dynamic work experience in a marketing function
