Position: Art Director with Strong Leadership Experience

Location: St-Laurent, Quebec

Employment Type: Full-time (hybrid, work from home Friday’s)

Salary: Starting at $75,000 per annum

Responsibilities:

1. Spearhead the conceptualization and execution of creative visual strategies across a wide range of projects, including branding, advertising campaigns, digital experiences, and more.
2. Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of designers and artists, fostering a collaborative and motivating work environment to produce top-notch creative outcomes.
3. Collaborate seamlessly with the creative and marketing teams, ensuring consistent and compelling brand messaging across various platforms and channels.
4. Present and articulate design concepts to clients confidently, effectively conveying the thought process and rationale behind creative decisions.
5. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, integrating innovative techniques into the agency's design process to maintain our cutting-edge approach.
6. Oversee the production process, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of projects while adhering to budget constraints.
7. Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and opportunities for growth to team members.
8. Cultivate a deep understanding of client objectives, target audiences, and market trends to deliver relevant and effective design solutions.
9. Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, offering creative insights and ideas to enhance the agency's offerings.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Arts, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
2. Proven experience of at least 10 years in a senior design role within a creative agency setting, with a demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
3. A portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects and styles, demonstrating both creativity and strategic thinking.
4. Proficiency in industry-standard design software (Adobe Creative Suite)
5. Excellent leadership skills with a track record of inspiring and motivating a team to achieve outstanding results.
6. Strong grasp of design principles, layout, color theory, and typography.
7. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively present ideas and collaborate with clients and team members.
8. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
9. A passion for staying current with design trends, technological advancements, and industry developments.
