Freelance Graphic Designer/Art Director - Outdoor Adventure Content Company

The Position:

Heliconia produces a variety of outdoor adventure and adventure travel related content. Heliconia is looking for a talented designer to help refresh and modernize the Heliconia brand, taking advantage of the visuals captured on our film shoots.

The Art Director/Graphic Designer is a long-term position and will be responsible for finishing off our current branding, designing a new website, as well as the ongoing updates of sales materials and presentations.

We are looking for designers with specific skills in and around the use of photography, typography, logo development, and iconography in web and digital presentation design.Heliconia is looking for someone who is superbly talented, who’s fast and efficient, a proactive communicator, and who can meet deadlines.

Art Director/Graphic Design Responsibilities:

-Design a new Heliconia.ca website & creating a new brand standard in font, imagery, iconography, colour and messaging.

-Apply this new brand standardization across all sales assets & marketing materials.

-Upgrade all of Heliconia’s social media pages with these standards.

-Update corporate branding standards kit.

-Work with sales team on the continual development of presentation decks.

-Develop assets for B2B marketing (social posts, newsletters, blog posts, advertising etc.)

-Meet project deadlines.

Skills/Qualifications:

·Excellent art direction and design skills

·Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Canva and other design editing software

·Strong ability to meet deadlines

·Strong attention to detail

·Strong ability to receive and implement constructive feedback

·Fluent in English

·Motion Graphics specific to Adobe After Effects skills a plus

·Experience with MOGRTs within Premiere a plus
