Position: High Volume Accounts Payable Clerk Salary: Up to £26,000 per annumResponsibilities:* Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.* Conduct thorough invoice matching, verification, and approval to ensure accuracy and prompt payment.* Assist the Management Accountant in maintaining financial records and preparing reports as required.* Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.* Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to address inquiries and resolve payment-related issues.* Monitor and track accounts payable transactions to ensure timely payments and avoid any potential delays or late fees.* Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts payable.* Assist in other accounting and financial tasks as needed.Requirements:* Proven experience in high volume accounts payable, ideally in a fast-paced environment.* Strong understanding of accounts payable principles, processes, and best practices.* Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data entry, reconciliation, and reporting.* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing invoices and financial documents.* Solid organizational and time-management skills, capable of meeting tight deadlines.* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and vendors.* Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
