As a key member of Everest Canada’s Financial Lines Division and reporting to the Head of Financial Lines, you will provide underwriting support to our underwriters. You will be accountable for day-to-day underwriting processing and will be tasked with pro-actively and effectively communicating with our underwriters and brokers to ensure that all information is complete and up to date with respects to overall business processing.

As a key member of Everest Canada’s Financial Lines Division and reporting to the Head of Financial Lines, you will provide underwriting support to our underwriters. You will be accountable for day-to-day underwriting processing and will be tasked with pro-actively and effectively communicating with our underwriters and brokers to ensure that all information is complete and up to date with respects to overall business processing.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Handle daily underwriting processing of accounts, including new business, renewals and endorsements utilizing Everest underwriting processing platform and associated internal applications and systems.
- Handle and process booking of all premium transactions within prescribed month end closing dates.
- Respond promptly to broker queries and liaise with underwriters as needed.
- Management of underwriting renewal cycle: gather and prep renewal files .
- Special projects and other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
- Assist underwriters with assembling of financial or technical information as needed to support underwriting review process.
- Work with the underwriting team to ensure efficient processing procedures are in place.
- Work with underwriters to ensure that all underwriting file documentation is appropriately filed in ImageRight.
- CIP designation or actively working towards completion of CIP courses
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of progressive commercial underwriting processing experience
- Bilingualism (French and English) an asset
- Strong prioritization skills to meet daily demand and deadlines to meet all service requirements.
- Strong oral and written communication, analytical and computer skills.
- Team oriented and ability to work effectively with peers.
- Ability to maintain excellent relations with brokers and provide superior service.
