The opportunity
As our new Transportation and Customer Service Coordinator, you will play an integral role in the order fulfillment to our US customer base, while working with our transportation partners to ensure orders are placed accurately and fulfilled and delivered in a timely manner. You will manage and own the process, while continuously working with our transportation partners to ensure we collaborate efficiently, all while upholding the quality customer service we are known for.
The Role
- Ensure that the shipping date and delivery date of all orders are always updated in the ERP.
- Validate order quantity against inventory and communicate shortages with substitution suggestions if necessary.
- Complete relevant documentation to process orders.
- Enter customer orders into ERP, including all relevant data.
- Ensure trucks are filled to maximum capacity before delivery and check that the total weight does not exceed the limit.
- Communicate with customers regarding changes to orders or delivery dates.
- Investigate any discrepancies or issues with quantity, pricing, shipments by contacting customers or internal resources.
- Provide monthly reports on fill rate and transportation expenses, costs/crates shipped.
- Track receipt and delivery accuracy with shipping partners for orders under your control
- Receive requests and orders from customers and ensure that they are carried out.
What you will bring
- Proficiency with computers and various software (MS Office, Just Foods)
- Proven experience in transportation and customer service role
- Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate a sense of urgency.
- Bilingualism: English and French. Fluency in English is necessary to communicate effectively with stakeholders in North America.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Secondary 5 or equivalent, AEC or DEC in Logistics / Transport (an asset).
