Role Summary:
Customer Service and Vehicle Logistics Specialist is responsible for tracking and reporting on the status of vehicles in the fleet, including production, transportation, and delivery. The analyst will work with Sales, Clients, and Administration teams to manage the process of vehicle production and possible delays in manufacturing and transportation. This will include coordinating the tracking and reporting of the status by partnering with internal and external suppliers. To ensure timely and accurate vehicle fulfillment, the individual will serve as a lead in driving continuous operational improvements that add value to the client and 7Gen’s operations.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders regarding the status of vehicle orders and manage order fulfillment through CRM software (Hubspot preferred).
- Generate and share weekly or as-needed client order status reports, monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Drive change through innovation, technology, collaboration, and process redesign, executing projects and identifying process efficiencies.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to drive process improvements.
- Develop ordering strategies to create an exceptional client experience for key accounts.
- Facilitate coordination among supply chain stakeholders, maintaining key relationships with manufacturers, dealers, body companies, and transport vendors.
- Support sales by consulting with prospects and customers during implementation.
- Identify and resolve issues that may impact the timely delivery of vehicles, providing outstanding customer service throughout the process.
- Collaborate with the sales, project management, and client operations teams to improve order-to-delivery processes.
- Track and report on the status of vehicle orders, including production, transportation, upfitting, and delivery.
- Provide strategic supply chain consulting from pre-order to delivery, optimizing the next order cycle.
- Work with OEMs to ensure smooth production, addressing any delays or logistics issues.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the automotive industry and supply chain processes is a plus.
- Prior fleet management experience in upfitting and delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
Skills:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate ideas and information clearly and concisely.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and re-prioritize as higher priority needs arise.
- Strong problem-solving and team-building skills, effective in both group and independent settings.
- Ability to work independently with little day-to-day direct management and confidence to make critical decisions to avoid delays in client vehicle deliveries.
- Superb organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple projects on a time-sensitive schedule.
- Proficiency in CRM software (Hubspot preferred) and other relevant tools.
- Customer-oriented thinking, outstanding ability to provide professional phone manner and exceptional customer service.
