Theatrical Sales Jobs

Ceema is looking for a strong candidate to join our Theatrical Distribution team, with a focus on Film Distribution sales and operations. This role will be a key team member responsible for the coordination of booking theatrical engagements, and all theatrical reporting as well as other strategic projects. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of relevant experience in film, be passionate about our business and films, as well as have strong attention to detail, follow through, analytical skills and communications skills.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Handling all Flim classifications required in these new territories
• Partner directly with the Head of Theatrical Distribution on Ceema’s release campaigns and direct sales efforts for a slate of 10-12 films per year, including traditional theatrical, non-theatrical, festival and multi-platform releases
• Growth of these new markets, by testing new cities and locations over time
• Market expansion by researching and testing new territories, and if found positive, start connecting with cinemas (or local distributors in some cases), negotiating, planning and booking theatrical release
• Manage key distribution operational functions, including:
• Own departmental reporting including upcoming playdates and revenue projections

-Print deliverables between the internal teams and our external vendors

-Theatrical distribution systems/software

• Interfacing with all other relevant Ceema departments and external partners
• Manage the fulfillment of theatrical bookings, including ensuring the successful launch of theatrical playdates by QC’ing theatres’ execution of pre-orders and the week of the launch presentation of the film.

Qualifications:

• Passion for film distribution business
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
• 3-6 years of relevant experience, ideally in film distribution or exhibition
• Humble, diligent, resourceful
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Proficient in Google Suite, Excel, Zoom, and distribution software

Our target salary for this role will be a percentage of the total net box office of the territories handled by the candidate, with a minimum guaranteed monthly salary which will depend on various considerations, including work experience, skills, specializations, and training.
