Johnstone Supply is looking for a Full-time Territory Sales Manager to join our team in Oakville.
As part of the outside sales team, you will promote and sell all products and services distributed by the company to dealers and contractors in your assigned territory. You will be responsible for developing new business as well as strengthening and growing customer relationships. You will be promoting residential and commercial equipment, parts, supplies and services to dealers and contractors of all sizes. You will be responsible for prospecting daily and developing new business.
As Territory Sales Manager --- you should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in HVAC/R sales, have in depth knowledge of products and technical applications, and be willing and able to actively prospect to develop your territory. The ideal candidate will be comfortable planning and executing independently, working as a team player with inside and outside support resources and reporting to the Regional Sales Manager.
Position Responsibilities:
- Ability to use systems to track and follow up on action items
- Promote and sell products and services
- Ability to comfortably navigate negotiations for win-win results
- Source and prospect new clients who will benefit from our products and customer service
- Ability to incorporate a sense of urgency into customer decision making
- Skill in allocating and managing time to highest priorities
- Ability to professionally approach new customers
- Ability to create plans and timelines from task lists
- Provide exceptional after sales and service support
- Ability to execute and implement sales programs
- Ability to identify and use resources to maintain industry, business, wholesale, sales process and HVACR technical knowledge and expertise
- General management of company's accounts
- Ability to identify internal stakeholders and actions they need to take to meet customer needs, and delegate accordingly
Education, Experience & Other Skills
- Knowledge of internal company operations, programs, services, capabilities, and differentiators
- Mechanical aptitude, or the ability to understand how machines and tools are used to accomplish work (an asset)
- Minimal of 5 years selling experience
- Post secondary, or professional experience equivalent.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in HVAC/R
- Knowledge of HVAC/R wholesale distribution business, customer business operations, and factors influencing profit and loss
