Job Description

We are currently seeking a Technician, Support Desk reporting to the Senior Manager, Technology. As the successful candidate, you will act as a front-line liaison to resolve user problems and questions relating to software, hardware, mobile devices and network connectivity. We are looking for a self-starter and problem solver, who can provide exception client service as part of a dynamic support team.


Responsibilities:

  • Participates in firm application rollouts and provides feedback
  • Monitors and responds to emergency SupportLine requests after regular business hours, including evenings and weekends, on a rotating scheduled basis
  • Works with firm members to understand the nature and scope of user problems and provides direction/instruction or takes steps to resolve the problem accordingly
  • Assists with the setup and tear down of boardroom technology for internal and client events
  • Provides support through a combination of telephone, email, desk side and remote support, escalating issues as required
  • Takes steps to investigate and resolve complex issues escalating accordingly while ensuring all requests are completed and accurately tracked
  • Provides exceptional client service to firm members and external clients regarding any application/hardware questions or issues including network connectivity
  • Distributes tracks, maintains and supports up to date laptop images for loaner pool of laptops
  • Other special projects & duties as assigned


Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Adobe, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Excellent client service and team mindset
  • Proficiency in role-specific software, including MS Office and O365, VMware, Active Directory and Exchange
  • Minimum 1-year relevant experience in a professional services environment
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent working experience in an Information Technology related field
  • Knowledge of Android, and iOS handheld devices
  • Strong technical problem solving skills
