SWITCHBOARD RECEPTIONIST

Universal Properties, a division of J.D. Irving, Limited is seeking a full-time Bilingual Switchboard Receptionist located in Dieppe, NB. The ideal candidate will be a professional, customer-focused individual with a can-do attitude. Demonstrated strong communication skills and attention to details are a must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operation of a multi-call telephone switchboard interface and routing of calls to the appropriate person or department
- Greeting and assisting visitors to their destination and/or host
- Performing a variety of administrative tasks for the various companies within the building as requested
- Monitoring and processing bookings for training and video conference rooms
- Keeping reception areas orderly and presentable at all times
- Supporting special events within the building
- This position involves work during the business week, Monday to Friday, and may include rotating Saturdays and holidays. The hours of work are 8-hour shifts scheduled between 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Other duties/projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required; Post-secondary education in Office or Business Technology would be considered an asset
- Minimum 2 years’ of related experience in a receptionist role or combination education and experience would be an asset
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic working environment with multiple tasks and priorities
- A strong team player with a keen understanding of the importance of professionalism in a service-based position
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with a pleasant and professional demeanor
- Helpful and flexible
- Fluently spoken English and French is required
