Job Duties

• Assist in process benchmarking and identify potential best practices to improve assigned processes.
• Attends forecasting and month end meetings, provides recommendations on forecast changes, ensuring explanations are properly reflecting the root cause of the variance.
• Be the Single point of contact (SPOC) between IOPA committee and various work program submissions.
• Identify, plan, organize and monitor requirements and processes for activities requiring completion by various work groups, to ensure delivery of service as agreed.
• Reporting to the Manager of Lines Work Management
• Plan, allocate and organize Work Programs.
• Supervise staff and organize responsibilities and assignments to effectively execute accountabilities. Monitor results and take necessary corrective action.
• Annually coordinate bundling efforts across all TL work programs to optimize resources and drive efficiency.
• Schedule and assign work to staff with instructions, coordinate their activity, direct them on problem areas, review and evaluate their performance.

Selection Criteria

• Knowledge is considered to be normally acquired either through the successful completion of Grade 12 education, plus up to 3 years additional concentrated study in a related program.
• Requires experience in estimating, planning, organizing, scheduling and delegating work to staff, while ensuring the quality, quantity and accuracy y of the work.
• Requires strong analytical skills.
• Requires close cooperation with Field Managers to establish an effective work schedule. Experience with SAP Work Management System and Outage Planning NOMS an asset.
• Experience in trade supervision and / or Program/Project management in the Operations business is required.
• Requires experience and familiarity with the trades/technical/operating environment in Distribution and/or Transmission.
• Requires demonstrated experience in both effective written and verbal communication.
• Requires experience within Transmission Lines, Distribution Lines, Business Planning, and Financial/Month end reporting.
• Requires knowledge of the collective agreements with the unions and relevant human resources policies. Requires ability to provide advice and guidance on the interpretation and application of standards and procedures governing the work program.
• A period of at least 8 to 10 years in this field is considered necessary.
• Requires knowledge of trades/technical/operating management within the electrical distribution and/or transmission setting.
