Job Description

We seek an experienced People & Values Sr. HRIS Specialist to elevate our core operations within the People & Values team. As a Sr. HRIS Specialist, you are an expert in human resources management systems and collect data and analyze it to improve our People & Values (HR) strategies and processes and suggest ways to increase functional productivity through automation and workflow of the People & Values team. Reporting to the lead of People & Values Operations, this role will be key in defining how HRIS can be optimized to provide a top-notch employee experience and contributes to an operational center of excellence that enables the organization to be a high-impact agency. You will also play a key role in helping to define the broader people technology strategy inclusive of new considerations that will impact the overall Employee Experience and Talent Enablement.

Technology

  • Lead the continuous evaluation and evolution and automation of HR Systems and Technology and process improvement initiatives.
  • Be the main ‘super user’ for HR systems, and the point of contact for the system providers.
  • Work closely with the People & Values team and various stakeholders to support the build, deployment and enhancement of various HR technologies and platforms.
  • Support all HRIS systems (needs analysis, research, design, testing, quality control, deployment, training, and administration) and user experience in the use of HRIS applications and desktop tools (talent acquisition, performance evaluation, and document management systems and software)
  • Collaborate with the People & Values team to provide support to resolve HR technology matters, ensuring enhanced employee experience.
  • Own Vendor relationships and have a strong understanding of all related contracts.

Insights, Analytics & Reporting

  • Leverage information, market research, and HR systems, to generate meaningful insights to assist the business in making accurate and informed decisions, along with process improvements.
  • Develop a line of business-specific or overall company dashboards on workforce metrics, which provide automation, efficiency, and insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement a framework for reporting business productivity metrics in order to assess ongoing organizational efficiency.
  • Utilize data mining techniques and queries to gather business intelligence.
  • Responsible for the overall analytics and reporting of various workforce, talent, and rewards metrics, and manage data quality and integrity by ensuring a regular audit cadence in coordination with the People & Values team.
  • Accountable for data integrity, data maintenance data sharing, data governance, and data security protocols and system functionality is maintained or enhanced on all systems.
  • Responsible for a monthly people dashboard of current, ongoing reporting and analytics to service business leaders and teams with the best insights to make business decisions.

Research and Benchmarking

  • Offer critical insight into emerging workforce trends through ongoing review and interpretation of labor statistics and competitive markets.
  • Research and analyze external benchmark data including the gathering and interpretation of trends for internal usage.
  • Complete various industry and human capital surveys, keeping up to date on various HR best practices and labor statistics, and offering critical insights into workforce trends.

Tech Stack Planning & Strategy

  • Define and drive the overall Tech Stack strategy and HRIS roadmap.

Support HR Delivery

  • Coordinate with Payroll and HRBPs and provide assistance to end users in troubleshooting and/or resolving system problems.
  • Workflow: Develop and document workflow processes to create efficiency in the operation of HR Information Systems.
  • Developing, documenting, and maintaining all current and new HRIS business process workflows for efficiency and compliance
  • Support the team on various HR initiatives as required.
  • Manages access to Human Resources data by establishing access criteria and security policies and procedures, authorizing access in accordance with criteria, and maintaining records of access authorizations.

What You Bring To The Team:

  • Strong Excel skills (formulas, macros, pivot tables, charts) and other MS Office software
  • Strong report writing capabilities using different HR technologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where you can contribute with your in-depth knowledge of HR and Talent Management systems
  • Superior attention to detail with an emphasis on data integrity and data quality
  • Able to provide sound judgment, with an ability to maintain confidentiality and utilize discretion while working with sensitive information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience in creating trending overviews, executive summaries, and written recommendations, including best practices.
  • Degree in HR or MIS (Information systems) or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience working with HRIS technologies, workforce analytics, and reporting (experience with UKG and Cornerstone is an asset)
  • Experience managing HRIS changes/implementations to support Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Strong Experience with BI tools ie: Power BI, Cognos etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, effective and comfortable working with vendors to resolve issues
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze significant amounts of information. Intellectually curious and creative.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with an ability to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver effectively on ad hoc requests.
