About the Job Title:
The Solution Expert’s mission is to manage the consistency between the business practices & processes for Primary Production and Manufacturing domain and the underlying Business Applications/Solutions (Enterprise Historian, SIO Products, Pipeline SCADA, KMS, DiAL etc). The Solution Expert assesses any new business needs requiring IT solution development and evolution, manages the realization of the functional requirements and validates the requested development, before user acceptance. This person is an expert within the PP&M business areas/applications and works closely with the SIO/LEAD Center, Operations Control Center and Plant Operations teams to assist in business technology strategic development, solution discovery, and service management.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists the business users and the technical support team in the business applications support of PP&M domain (Enterprise Historian, SIO Products, Pipeline SCADA, KMS, DiAL etc etc) for critical issues.
- Assist the users (customers) in acceptance testing, developing procedures, and updating documentation.
- Ensure that IT resources (people, costs, systems, hardware) are aligned with business needs.
- Maintains an excellent relationship with key business stakeholders.
- Drive IT innovation, best practices, and cost efficiencies to improve the financial and operational performance of the business operations
- Assists in the execution of the Digital and IT roadmap.
- Works with the technical teams in the execution and design of application enhancements and digital projects.
- Empower all users by creating a community of practice
- Acts as the liaison between business users, PMO, and IT technical teams.
- Documents the functional designs for all enhancements and projects.
- Process improvement: Works with his/her team as well as with cross-functional teams to continuously improve work processes. Continuously analyzes the functioning of the activity, identifies causes of dysfunctions and proposes corrective measures accordingly.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate IT personnel as needed
Qualifications
Education, Training or Certification Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Billing Processes, Plant/Pipeline operations, and associated applications. General Requirements and Knowledge
- 5+ years experience in two of the three areas: Business/Operations, IT, or Project Management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or a related discipline
