Transcontinental Transmag is currently looking for an experienced production supervisor to join the production team at its Montreal plant in the Anjou area.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Supervisor, the Production Supervisor is responsible for managing and involving team members in productivity optimization, OHS processes and creating a stimulating and harmonious work environment.
Your Tasks And Responsibilities Will Be

• Coordinate and supervise the tasks of employees under his/her responsibility while sharing work procedures to ensure quality and efficiency of results;
• Ensure the proper functioning of equipment by performing regular maintenance
• Supervise all production operations by working closely with the head operators and other departments to optimize the company's productivity;
• Strictly respect the provisions of the collective agreement in force to ensure fair treatment of all employees;
• All other related tasks.
• Coordinate all stages of production, ensuring that deadlines and requests are met to guarantee customer satisfaction;
• Lead and motivate team members to achieve production objectives and value their work by providing regular follow-up and evaluation;
• Maintain quality standards by implementing rigorous quality control procedures to ensure product compliance with required standards;

Adherence To Health And Safety Policies

• Submit recommendations to improve the work environment and prevent accidents, and implement corrective actions necessary to ensure worker safety.
• Conduct regular audits to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate preventive measures.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the premises by conducting regular inspections and implementing cleaning and maintenance procedures.
• Demonstrate safe attitudes and behaviours for self and others by identifying potential hazards and taking steps to minimize accidents.
• Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by complying with workplace regulations, policies and initiatives and encouraging others to do the same.
• Actively participate in the joint health and safety committee by proposing ideas and solutions to improve health and safety in the workplace.

THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE::

• Ability to work on several projects at the same time;
• Fluency in French (oral and written), English, functional;
• Organized, structured and resourceful;
• Ability to work in a team environment;
• Leadership, initiative and sense of responsibility;
• Demonstrate a good problem solving approach;
• Ability to plan and prioritize, good stress management;
• Have a College Diploma (DEC) or High School Diploma combined with work experience relevant to the role;
• Experience in the manufacturing or printing industry (asset);

Work Schedule

• Remote work is not possible in this role;
• The position requires some flexibility to attend team meetings, vacation replacements, and special projects.
• Day shift 40 hours/week Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 7am to 7pm = 3 x 12 hours + 8 extra hours every 2 weeks;
