Job Description

We are Systematix and we are looking for a ServiceNow Business Analyst to fill a 6-month+ contract position with one of our National Media Clients in their Toronto, Montreal, or Ottawa offices. (Bilingualism, French/English, is preferred but NOT required).


ABOUT THE PROJECT

The opportunity:

As a business analyst, your role will consist of analyzing business needs, documenting requirements, change requests, and translating business terms into technical terms in order to liaise with TI's various development teams within the corporate solutions portfolio.


Your creativity and your open-mindedness will be put forward to find innovative solutions to complex requests. You will lead workshops to identify needs, help partners clarify their vision, list business components, identify opportunities for improvements, and document options in a clear and consistent manner. Being detail-oriented, you must take the time to clearly articulate needs and/or problems. You must demonstrate strong communication skills in interactions with various stakeholders, use technical terms with TI team members vs. common terms with business partners.


You will have to operate within very tight deadlines in an evolving environment, ensuring that processes are optimized according to best practices while demonstrating the ability to proactively research and analyze opportunities using all available resources and tools: internet, intranets, colleagues, whitepapers, etc.


You will also be required to coordinate activities by collaborating in the development of preliminary work plans, user

acceptance tests, and by regularly informing the responsible manager of the risks and problems encountered.


Please note this role is open to all candidates based in Canada. Preference for those based in Montreal, Ottawa or Toronto.


ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Liaise between end-users / stakeholders and the different internal departments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders by gathering, documenting and analyzing their requirements to understand, document and/or restructure current business processes.
  • Initiate, lead and conduct meetings with the vendor and/or end-users as well as other project members.
  • Assist management in developing business cases and proposals, preparing cost-benefit analyses and describing operational requirements for the development of applications that meet business priorities and objectives.
  • Contribute to the follow-up of each project to ensure that the desired results are achieved.
  • Lead the effort on the analysis and resolution of deficiencies.
  • Keep management informed on all deliverables and/or related activities.
  • Ensure that discussion points and requirements are captured and distributed to relevant parties for follow-up and closure.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the provider and/or company project teams
  • Participate in UAT testing sessions by guiding users to test how the application works.
  • Ensure that non-compliances (bugs and/or deficiencies) are communicated to the provider via the problem tracking system.
  • If necessary, conduct knowledge transfer exercises with the supplier and/or end-users.
  • Participate actively in multiple scrum teams to deliver solutions iteratively and incrementally.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of various test/validation scripts based on clients' business processes and perform application testing to ensure that the application complies with requirements.
  • Have high proficiency in ServiceNow.


ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS:


  • Certification: Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) or Professional Business Analyst (PMI-PBA) an asset.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or College Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven knowledge of requirements collection, documentation and analysis methodologies.
  • Bilingualism (French and English), spoken and written is an asset, but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and customer satisfaction skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment with multiple different teams while embracing change and new processes.
  • Five (5) years of experience in business process analysis positions.
  • Ability to travel across Canada occasionally.
  • Excellent capacity to manage stress and priorities, with an innate ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to conduct discussions with an end-user group and/or the supplier.
  • Five (5) years of experience as a B/A or SME working with ServiceNow
  • Strong analytical skills and open-mindedness to find solutions. Demonstrated creativity in developing technical solutions in response to clients’ and projects’ needs.
  • Good general knowledge and intellectual curiosity (for the acquisition and development of new knowledge).
  • Critical thinking ability to question and recommend new ideas.
  • Attention to detail, resourcefulness and autonomy, with a good sense of judgment and proactivity.


ABOUT THE ROLEThis is a 6-month full-time contract (Mon-Fri, 8 hours a day) engagement. This a HYBRID role that is remote and roughly 1-2 days a week onsite at Toronto, Montreal or Ottawa offices. There will be 2 renewal options of 6 months each. There will be occasional travel within Canada (less than once a month).

Étant soucieux du détail, vous devez prendre le temps d’articuler clairement les besoins et/ou les problèmes. Vous devez démontrer de solides compétences en communication dans les interactions avec diverses parties prenantes, utiliser des termes techniques avec les membres de l’équipe TI plutôt que des termes communs avec des partenaires commerciaux. Vous devrez opérer dans des délais très serrés dans un environnement évolutif, en veillant à ce que les processus soient optimisés selon les meilleures pratiques tout en démontrant votre capacité à rechercher et analyser de manière proactive les opportunités en utilisant toutes les ressources et outils disponibles : internet, intranets, collègues, livres blancs, etc. Vous devrez également coordonner les activités en collaborant à l’élaboration de plans de travail préliminaires, aux tests d’acceptation par les utilisateurs et en informant régulièrement le gestionnaire responsable des risques et des problèmes rencontrés.
