We're currently hiring a Service Coordinator for our client based in Mississauga.
The Service Coordinator, reporting to the Service Supervisor, is responsible for the effective coordination of Service Technician scheduling and administration. This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills that exhibit a “Customer First” philosophy.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service:
- Document the needs of the customer, capturing key information required to assess and schedule any service work
- Prepare and issue quotes for service labor and parts as requested by customers
- Forward any requests for technical assistance to the appropriate personnel and follow up, to ensure a response is issued to the customer
- Receive incoming calls and correspondence from the customer
Scheduling:
- Using appropriate program, ensure all technicians are scheduled daily and schedules are accurate
- Conduct preliminary problem solving to identify required course of action
- Ensure that necessary risk assessments and/or method statements are produced for the service technician’s work and stored as required in the job files
- Confirm arrangements for the visit with customer
Parts Ordering:
- Prepare parts for pickup by the Service Technician prior to the scheduled work
- Expedite delivery to meet commitments to the customer
- Purchase required spare parts and services and/or request Interco transfers for upcoming work
- With assistance from appropriate technical personnel as required, determine required spare parts
- Invoicing: Upon job completion process invoicing
Knowledge & Expertise:
- Must have a “Customer First” attitude
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with ERP software preferred
- Minimum grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to handle competing priorities without compromising standards of service or quality
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
Critical Skills:
- 2-5 years of relevant industry experience would be considered an asset

- Long periods of sitting at computer.
