With a mission to empower people to achieve their potential by providing resources, skills and opportunities, Achēv (pronounced “Achieve”) is a Canadian leader in employment, newcomer settlement, language services as well as youth, women and inclusion services. A not-for-profit organization, Achēv develops and operates programs that reached, supported, and empowered over 100,000 clients last year across the Greater Toronto Area and virtually across Canada. Funded by three levels of government, private businesses, charitable organizations, foundations and through Achēv’s growing fee-for-service, Achēv Inclusion. Achēv is a social enterprise that measures success by its social impact.
As Canada faces record labour shortages and the demographic realities of an aging population, immigration is increasing rapidly in response to these challenges. As a result, there has never been a more critical time for the services that Achēv provides. Achēv has been on an exciting journey to transform how it operates and engage the communities it serves. As part of Achēv’s bold Vision 2025 strategic plan, OneAchēv supports a culture of increased collaboration and integrated service delivery that will positively impact Achēv’s resiliency, agility, success, and growth.
Working in a hybrid model, reporting to the Achēv Chief Executive Officer and playing a key role in Achēv’s growth and evolution, this critical and re-imagined role of Senior Vice President, Client Services (“the SVP”) will join the CEO and leadership team in imagining Achēv’s future. Accountable for leading Achēv’s “Growth Through Innovation” strategy and the financial performance of Achēv’s government programs and services, the SVP ensures Achēv is constantly innovating and offering solutions that will address its clients’ needs, now and in the future. The SVP’s key responsibilities include inspiring innovation in existing programs and services and new business opportunities, providing executive leadership of a future-focused, proactive business development team, and overseeing Achēv’s heightened focus on clients through the creation of a seamless client journey across all programs and services, driving client satisfaction and strengthening and expanding client related data analytics capabilities.
Leveraging their understanding of government funded programming, the incoming SVP will lead the introduction of new, innovative programs and services that serve unmet client needs, increase community impact, and aid in future proofing Achēv’s services. To do so, the SVP “leads the parade” on innovation by championing and inspiring Achēv employees to think out of the box and challenge the status quo. By creating a seamless client journey, the SVP will also make it easier for clients to benefit from Achēv’s expansive range of services and achieve their full potential. A consummate collaborator and influencer, the SVP models Achēv’s new OneAchēv culture in everything they do.
An experienced change leader who brings an outstanding record of generating breakthrough ideas while effectively assessing risks and opportunities, the incoming SVP will play a key role in building a sustainable future for Achēv. A collaborative, empathetic and influential people leader with strong interpersonal and communications skills, the SVP is an accomplished leader within the not-for-profit, public or private sectors developing and leading strategic and operational initiatives to drive innovation, business growth and client service. Authentic, goal oriented with a demonstrated commitment to upholding the values of diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility, the successful candidate excels within complex, multi-stakeholder environments. This is an outstanding opportunity for a collaborative and innovative leader to join Achēv as it continues evolving for many years to come. If you are passionate about leveraging innovation to empower people to achieve their potential and are prepared to play a critical role in Achēv’s future, we want to hear from you.
