Job Description
We’re looking for a Senior Training Specialist to help us deliver product training to Hootsuite Enterprise customers. As a key member of our Professional Services team, you will be a product expert and client advocate who helps to successfully launch our customers by enabling them on our product. This role has some travel required and is estimated to take up about 10-15% of your time.While working in a hybrid work arrangement, a blend of virtual (in accordance with Hootsuite’s distributed workforce strategy), and in Hootsuite’s Toronto or Vancouver office, you will report to the Senior Manager, Professional Services.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Contribute to development, maintenance and updates of team training materials, including agendas and templates, as well as aiding in training and on-boarding new team members and global partners.
  • Manage client expectations and tailor sessions to their skill level, aligning Hootsuite’s capabilities with the best solution or workaround for their challenges.
  • Develop and deliver live standardized product training sessions on strategic and advanced topics.
  • Lead “blended” training sessions that cover basic social media best practices and Hootsuite product best practices.
  • Act as a key member of end-to-end customer journey, supporting internal teams with strategic direction on training programs; build and scope training programs to support our full suite of Hootsuite solutions.
  • Provide strategic insights and guidance to customers on how to best utilize their solutions
  • Conduct customized training sessions on the Hootsuite platform, delivered via online webinar or in-person onsites.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
  • Ability to learn and apply new skills, technologies and processes quickly.
  • Clear and organized presentation techniques and skills in person and via web.
  • Proven ability to train or teach someone, particularly on a technology solution.
  • Demonstrated success and capability training and/or teaching someone, particularly on a technology solution.

  • Proven experience in Enterprise training and delivery programs.

  • Ability to set and manage customer expectations and to negotiate appropriate resolutions to issues.
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • Process/Project Management: Skilled at figuring out and managing the processes and timelines necessary to get work accomplished.
  • Customer Focus: Demonstrates a desire to proactively help and serve internal/external customers to meet their needs.
  • Ability to set and manage customer expectations and to negotiate appropriate resolutions to issues.
  • Subject matter expertise, particularly in social selling, social marketing, and/or social customer. service, ideally with experience in a B2B customer-centric environment.
