Prior skilled trades experience in plumbing, electric, and/or carpentry

3+ years of successful experience in home construction, remodeling, and/or installation

Excellent verbal and writing skills

Excellent presence and communication skills in presentation situations

Ensure the knowledge, practical skills, and motivation to complete maintenance tasks are comprehended and applied by new technicians

Post-secondary education related trades, business, educations, or leadership an asset

2+ years’ experience in a leadership or training related role

2+ years of experience in a maintenance or facilities coordination role an asset

Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills

Great organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and multi-task

Previous military naval operational experience or equivalent civilian training experience; preferably in a bridge or combat management system (CMS) capacity.

At least 3 years of bridge or CMS experience coupled with teaching/ mentoring experience

Experience in naval tactics and bridge operations

Experience in training technologies such as simulators and virtual training environments is a strong asset

Training and experience with training syllabus development, authoring training materials and incorporating them in a simulated environment

Knowledge and understanding of delivering training to military audiences

Ability to work independently along with strong organization and time management skills required.

Prior Penske experience as a lead technician, supervisor, or manager preferred

Experience as an instructor in a classroom and/or hands-on environment preferred

3-5 years of experience as a technician in the heavy duty truck or similar industry preferred

Advanced knowledge of safety practices preferred

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, required
