Senior Integrations Tester

Department: Circle K Tech Inc.

Location: Kanata, Ontario

Type of employment: Permanent, full time, 40 hours per week

Circle K Tech is the North American Innovation Centre for Circle K/Couche-Tard. Utilizing the latest technologies in embedded design, networking, and cloud services, we strive to improve customer experience by adding videos and graphics to the pump screens. We are a small team of highly experienced developers working on tech innovation.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Director, Software Development, within our Circle K Tech Inc. team, the Senior Integrations Tester will provide test plans and scripts and perform UI and scalability testing to ensure software is integrated, meets requirements and is ready for deployment.

What You’ll Do

Here are just a few ways that you’ll help make journeys better: 

• Build and run simulator scripts to perform scalability and load tests for both API server and Elastic (Python or other scripting language knowledge is required).
• Use Jira and Confluence to record issues and observations
• Configure, update, and maintain hardware and software in test environments.
• Conduct investigations into various aspects of the products and prepare test result reports.
• Monitor Azure costs and identify areas where spend can be reduced (Azure and networking knowledge an asset).
• Create and maintain test plans and procedures for new and existing products.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Python (or other languages as appropriate).
• Build test automation suite for UI testing (experience with Selenium or other UX automation tools is required).
• System level testing with various devices.

What You’ll Need

• Excellent analytical, creative, abstract thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent ability to use positive persuasive skills in the workplace
• Experience working on small teams and delivering to quarterly plan is an asset.
• 7+ years’ experience with Linux and APIs.
• Knowledge and working experience in analyzing test results and identifying and reporting issues.
• Familiarity with cloud computing protocols including network storage and CPU usage.
• Experience in developing, reviewing, and executing test cases based on functional requirements.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Atlassian tools).
• Experience working with small team of developers testing new features and running regression as needed is an asset.
• Knowledge of test tools (Selenium, Postman, Wireshark).
