About Our Client

Our client, located in Markham has an opening for a Senior Accountant for a permanent position.

Responsibilities

Working closely and supporting the Director, Finance & Controller you will be responsible to the following:

• High volume data entry for invoices
• Handling Accounts Payables, Receivables and cheque runs
• Other ad hoc requirements
• Posting transaction level details in the accounting system
• Assisting with collection efforts when required
• Supporting with month and year end duties such as investigating reconciliations, adjustments, etc.
• Maintaining relationships with vendors

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years working experience in an Accounting or Finance capacity
• Must be resourceful and use the tools available to problem solve and develop recommendations
• Must be keen to learning and confident in asking questions
• Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance
• Strong data entry skills and analysis skills
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills with an ability to multitask
• Intermediate MS Excel skills
