Senior Global Accountant Jobs

Convergix Automation is looking to expand our global finance team with the addition of a Senior Global Accountant who will work closely with key stakeholders in each business unit to standardize and facilitate accounting practices across our multiple entities. As the Senior Global Accountant you will work with the Chief Accounting Officer to develop, improve, and monitor general accounting practices across multiple business entities, ensure compliance with US GAAP, complete monthly consolidations, coordinate completion of the annual audit and taxes, and will work directly with the various business units to improve accounting processes and controls.

What would a typical day look like?

• Manage CPM and FAS software.
• Engage with other business units to help implement a framework for continuous improvement.
• Maintaining the general ledger system.
• Establishing and maintaining internal controls.
• Manages and maintains all periodic regulatory filings.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations for Convergix.
• Preparing and consolidating monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Serve as a liaison to external auditors and external tax preparers.
• Assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable.
• Oversee daily cash management to ensure accurate reporting and analysis in conjunction with weekly/monthly cash forecast.
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Researching accounting issues for compliance with GAAP.
• Coordinating the annual budget process.
• Travel to Business Units on an infrequent basis

What qualifies you for this opportunity?

• Strong budgeting, financial forecasting and financial analysis skills required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA preferred)
• 5+ years’ experience as an accountant
• Must be able to work independently and be self-directed.
• Comfortable with risk and working with ambiguity
• Strong negotiation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills working with individuals and building collaborative relationships
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to interpret data and to present the findings to the relevant stakeholders in a clear and concise way
• Excellent computer skills: advanced experience with Excel required.
• Exceptional leadership abilities
• Have the ability to form and stand behind opinions
• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Strong analytical skills
• Have well-developed sense of ethics and integrity
• Strong presentation skills
