Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

The Senior Brand Copywriter will guide the Arc’teryx brand voice across all vertical channels and paid media. As a member of the Brand Marketing Creative Team, you will provide narrative vision and strategy as well as conceptual and executional excellence. You will be a key person for engaging brand-level copy across the Creative, Product, Retail, and Media teams.


This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid (or) remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.


Meet Your Future Team:


The Brand Marketing Creative team is hands-on and iterative. We build our creative with the same passion as our product. Art Directors, Designers, Photographers, Stylists, Architects, and Craftspeople —we are all comfortable behind the pen, on an exposed ridgeline, and in any global city.


If you were the Senior Brand Copywriter now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:


  • Owning Creative campaign development and messaging hierarchies
  • Ensuring that copy is clear, accurate, and intelligent
  • Concepting visual and copy ideas, and editorial franchises with other members of the Creative team for brand initiatives and product launches
  • Providing copy strategy for ongoing and seasonal marketing campaigns
  • Owning and managing brand copy guidelines
  • Managing category and contract writers, ensuring a strong, recognizable, and relevant voice for the brand is communicated across all marketing touchpoints
  • Working closely with Product teams to develop a deep understanding of the product lines
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to understand channel strategy and ensure consistent messaging

  • Collaborating across the marketing function to sharpen strategy and evolution of the brand editorial offense
  • Articulating and evolving annual and seasonal narrative platforms


Are you our next Senior Brand Copywriter?


  • Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You are an excellent storyteller
  • You have 5+ years experience copywriting and 3+ years leading a team of writers- writing all forms of copy and communications at a vertical brand or advertising agency
  • You are proactive in identifying issues and their solutions
  • You have experience leading creative ideation sessions and design thinking
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and seek continuous improvement
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or experience equivalent in liberal arts and/or creative writing
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
