About the opportunity:

We are looking to add a Senior Accounting Technician to our team. This person will have the opportunity to work closely with the firm’s partners and managers on client mandates as we continue to grow our firm.

About The Opportunity

• Reconciling messy books
• Bookkeeping for operating and investment companies
• Preparation of simple compilation engagements
• File and reconcile GST/QST/HST returns
• Prepare simple corporate and personal tax returns
• Maintain our clients’ accounting records including:
• Preparing bank reconciliations
• Communicating with and supporting our clients
• Process payroll

About you:

• Passionate about helping small and medium businesses
• Educational background in accounting or bookkeeping
• Takes deep ownership of your role.
• You’re passionate about building exceptional client relationships, you deliver on promises, are helpful and patient and are always looking to be a value add to your clients
• You are very comfortable using technology
• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English.

These are super nice to haves:

• Experience using cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks Online)
• Knowledge of CaseWare and DT Max
