Reports to : Team Lead, Accounting

Location : Montreal, Québec (Villeray)

We are looking for a dynamic, open-minded person with a go-getter attitude! He/she has less than 2 years of experience in the world of finance or accounting, seeks to grow in a company focused on its employees, and has a "work hard, play hard" mindset. He/she must also recognize him/herself in the following values;

We drive and inspire.

• You organize and classify the documentation ensuring that the files are ready for the audit at all times.
• You make sure that we are following the appropriate approval processes and expense reports to exceed the expectations of our employees and customers.

• You research for the best practices in accounting to be efficient and up to date.
• You undertake to verify the accounts by reconciling statements and transactions on a daily basis.

We are respectful.

• You liaise with external suppliers and internal departments necessary to resolve issues and maintain good relationships. To do this, you’ll need to have good communication skills in English and French, both written and oral.

We have a sense of situation.

• You prepare general ledger entries, keep records by posting account transactions and conduct analyzes. You work with accounting software (SAGE or Quickbooks style) and you have an intermediate level of knowledge with Excel.

We are solution-oriented.

• You resolve account discrepancies by investigating the documentation; issuance of payments, transactions or adjustments.

We challenge.

• You have experience in the retail industry (asset) and understand very well what it is to work under pressure, with deadlines and goals to achieve.
• You process a high volume of invoices; match them to purchase orders, pay them by verifying transaction information, plan and prepare disbursements, and obtain payment authorization.
