Security Supervisor Jobs

Securiguard is currently looking for a pragmatic and professional Site Supervisor to join our team at a corporate office building in Calgary.

Reporting to our Operations Manager, this role is responsible for providing leadership, training and support to Security Officers and motivated the team to achieve operational goals and objectives. They will also be required to maintain familiarity of our site and to partner with our Operations Managers and Coordinators to ensure our performance exceeds our client's expectations.

A positive, professional attitude and strong interpersonal skills are important in this pivotal role.

Shift timing: Monday to Friday, 0600 to 1400

Duties Will Include

• Respond to emergency or urgent site situations, evaluate and recommend or initiate appropriate action, secure sites as necessary, liaise/co-ordinate with applicable law, fire, medical or site officials, ensure that post orders are adhered to and confirm/ensure the safety of Securiguard personnel and our clients.
• Act as liaison between Operations Managers and Clients on occasion.
• Submit Operations Reports, Incident Reports and Investigation Reports.
• Attend regular operations and health & safety meetings
• Fill in for short notice book-outs by regular officers or make themselves available until relief is provided.
• Submit daily Shift Summaries in a concise, yet detailed, time specific format.
• Frequent communication and coordination with Dispatch to ensure proper site coverage and incident/emergency response integrity.

Job Requirements

• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in a supervisory role within the security industry
• Professional written communication skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diplomacy and sensitivity
• Advanced Security Training an asset
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends and holidays when required.
• OFA I, II or III an asset
• Analytically minded with strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
• Valid Alberta Security License
• Use of judgement and effective time management as well as being highly organized.
