The Role:

This is an Event Security Secondary Supervisor role for various events in Edmonton and surrounding areas. Guards must have reliable transportation.

Requirements

• Be willing to work out of town if requested.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Must be willing to work weekends, and stat holiday’s.
• 1-3 years of Security Industry Experience
• Provide 3 year personal Drivers Abstract.
• Must have reliable means of transportation.
• Must be able to work independently.
• 1 year minimum of Supervision or Management Experience in related field.
• Provide 2-3 references from previous Direct Supervisors or Managers.
• Must be physically able to walk for long distances and remain standing for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-shift safety meeting and tool box talk.
• Tasked with following proper escalation procedures.
• Inspect equipment before and after event.
• Resolve issues through verbal deescalation.
• Meet Primary Supervisor onsite prior to event start time.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Ensure that all staff are positioned properly and job scope understood.
• Work in a team environment.
• Work in Collaboration with Primary Event Supervisor or Event Manager to ensure operational success.
• Ensure Backwoods Management is notified of any incidents and violations.
• Maintain presence on event floor, respond to radio calls from Security and Guest Service staff.

Training and Certifications Required:

• 3-Year Clean Driver's Abstract (less than 6 demerits)
• Standard First Aid with CPR (asset)
• Class 5 Driver's License (required)
• Valid Alberta Security Guard License (required)
