Relationship Manager Jobs

Our client, a producer-focused, food and agribusiness corporate and investment bank, is searching for a Relationship Manager to be based in Manitoba.

The Relationship Manager will grow market presence through supporting producers in Manitoba with financing solutions. This position will be expected to help build the business from the ground up, while leveraging existing global business expertise.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Position yourself with customers as a knowledge provider by bringing in the organizations global perspective on markets
• Read, analyze, and interpret risk in appraisals, financial statements, crop insurance reports, and other customer data
• Service agricultural loans of customers of all sizes
• Maintain and grow a portfolio of complex financing of primary producers and agri-business
• Provide value added solutions to customers, leveraging a relationship-based approach to financing partnerships
• Engage with customers regularly to demonstrate other services the customer can leverage to increase their operations efficiency and profitability
• Leverage other internal services to set you and the organization apart from competitors
• Be the primary customer contact for the origination
• Coordinate teams of department specialists throughout the organization to assist in structure, approval, close, and service of large customers

DESIRED PROFILE:

• Must have strong financial background and extensive knowledge of all agricultural industry segments in Manitoba
• Must have successfully completed advanced credit/risk structuring course, advanced relationship sales and marketing course, or equivalents as identified by the organization or equivalent testing or experience
• Excellent communication skills are required. Must be able to manage cross organizational relationships and have completed managing priorities and relationship training course
• Computer proficiency with MS Word and Excel
• Experience in loan documentation including the perfection of liens and mortgages on real estate, crops, inventory, machinery, and real property throughout the organizations operating range
• Bachelor’s Degree, with Masters preferred, with 8+ years of similar experience
• Must be able to work well under time constraints, be organized, detail-oriented and have a strong desire to succeed
• Ability to motivate others
• Must have experience with large, complex syndication and club transactions
