Job Description
Our client, a local innovative solutions provider of microscopy sensors, systems, and automation solutions, is currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager to join their team immediately on a permanent full-time basis.
You will be joining a multi-disciplined team of scientists, engineers, and technical staff who possess decades of industry knowledge and experience. The successful candidate will build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals, and maintain extensive knowledge of the market, as well as solutions/services that the company can provide compared to competitors. This position will be working out of their office in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
Role And Responsibilities
  • Manage Field Service Engineers’ site visits to complete installations and preventative maintenance programs
  • Work with marketing and technical staff to ensure that prerequisites are fulfilled in a timely manner
  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client meetings
  • Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
  • Track and record activity in accounts and help close deals to meet sales targets
  • Work with internal engineering teams to develop proposals that address client’s needs, concerns and applications
  • Present new products and solutions to existing customers and enhance existing relationships
  • Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new products and distribution channels
  • Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to ensure customer needs are met
  • Research, identify and build relationships with new clients and key decision makers
  • Attend industry functions, such as association events, conferences and trade shows, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends
  • Participate in pricing and configuring solutions
  • Forecast sales targets and ensure that they are met
  • Set-up meetings between client decision makers and the company’s practice leaders and principals
  • Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s reporting management system
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak one or more of the regional languages (Korean, Japanese, Malaysian) an asset
  • Good interpersonal skills and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to influence others and self-driven
  • Ability and willingness to travel 1 to 2 times per year to the region(s) (totalling 6-8 weeks)
  • Independent self-starter
  • 3+ years experience in Technical and/or Business Development experience in the microscopy field or Semiconductor / FPD / Technology industry
  • Ability to easily interact with different customer profiles and build strong relationships
  • University degree in Computer Science / Engineering, Math, Physics, Electronic Engineering or equivalent
