Regional Sales Manager – Industrial
Calgary, AB
Our client is a quickly expanding National Welding Products Distributor who is looking for a Territory Sales Manager in Calgary, Alberta. This individual will be responsible for revenue and profit growth of programs and services in targeted accounts. Recently our client has experienced consistent growth and will be opening a new office in Calgary so part of this role will be guiding the branch through the Start Up phase and growing the Sales Territory of Southern Alberta. The main goal of the Territory Sales Manager will be to motivate, educate, and support their Sales Team in reaching their targets. You will be responsible for the growth in new and existing accounts, and bringing new ideas to drive future expansion.
Responsibilities:
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts
- Assess current processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement them
- Recruit, hire, and train outside sales team in conjunction with starting up the Calgary office.
- Set sales goals, compare performance to goals, and adjust goals as needed
- Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment
- Assess individual performance through observation and measurement, and suggest corrective actions as needed
Qualifications:
- Results-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Deep understanding of CRM systems and best practices
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, or related field
- Ability to communicate, present at an exceptional level – both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing market that mandates urgency and adjusting
- Five years of Industrial sales or field sales support experience
- Previous experience creating, developing and executing sales plans that involve budgeting and deep goal setting
