The Opportunity


Through leadership of the HR Business Partner team and working collaboratively with Hospital Executives, the State People Manager will work as a strategic partner to provide effective, expert advice, coaching and service delivery in all areas of employment and human resource issues across Queensland.


Key responsibilities for this role:


  • Guide collaborative relationships between National HR and Hospital Executives
  • Coach, advise, support, and enable executives, managers and business partners
  • Promote, support and drive HR strategic plans and objectives
  • Play a crucial part in leading enterprise bargaining efforts, providing knowledgeable guidance, and making wise choices to help achieve our bargaining goals and priorities
  • Build organisational capability and minimise industrial disputation
  • Attract, develop, motivate, and retain a high performing and sustainable workforce


About You


  • Influential – proven ability to operate both a strategic and operational level, leveraging internal and external resources, handle conflict and influence stakeholders
  • Lead by example – you positively promote and implement change, enthusiastically educating and guiding your colleagues
  • Accountable for outcomes, with a strong sense of ownership
  • Collaborative – proven ability to work across a multi-layered organisation, providing advice, education, and driving People strategies & initiatives


Your Skills And Experience


  • Significant experience in organisation development change management
  • Qualifications in HRM or Industrial Relations
  • Masters in HRM or Industrial Relations will be highly regarded
  • Extensive experience in industrial relations
  • Working knowledge of cost management
  • Demonstrated expertise in contemporary HR practices and IR frameworks
  • Proven experience in HR business partnering and leadership
