THE ORGANIZATION

With their headquarters in Edmonton, All Weather Windows Ltd. (AWW) is a dynamic leader in the window and door industry in Canada. Operations include two manufacturing plants located in Edmonton with Customer Solution Centres in Langley, Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge, Saskatoon, Regina, and Winnipeg.

In 2008, All Weather Windows Commercial Ltd. (AWWC) was created to service its growth in large-scale commercial clients. Specializing in commercial glazing solutions, All Weather Windows Commercial provides a wide variety of products for high rises, commercial, retail store fronts, multi-unit residential structures, hospitality, industrial and more. The Commercial Division installs window systems into Commercial properties as a subcontractor to both general contractors and property developers.


In 2015 All Weather Windows purchased Canadian Insulated Glass (CIG) and rebranded as All Weather Windows Glass which manufactures a wide range of specialty glass products for residential and commercial applications.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Regional Manager, Langley will report to the Director of Sales and will be responsible for all functions of the Customer Solutions Center (CSC) on a day-to-day basis including coordination and direction of activities within the CSC to meet or exceed sales targets and ensure operational excellence. You will effectively manage all CSC operating costs while ensuring facility and staff compliance with Safety and Regulatory standards. You will provide leadership to a remote sales team located in Victoria, Kelowna, Kamloops and Prince George and lead an operational team including an Operations Manager who oversees team members including shipping and receiving, customer service and service technicians to achieve superior performance and excellent service to customers.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development, coaching and coordination of Operations Manager and Sales Manager (if applicable).
  • Audit regional processes and establish goals, KPI’s and milestones for the team.
  • Overall focus on gross margin of regional CSC.
  • Approve payroll and manage vacation/time off for direct reports.
  • Ensure employee position descriptions and performance reviews are current and up to date.
  • Attend all regional meetings.
  • Communicate and maintain accountabilities and expectations for direct and indirect reports.
  • Assess the strengths and development needs of staff, discuss career goals, and set up learning plans for staff.
  • Drive a safe, goal orientated, bought in and positive culture through high performance leadership.
  • Work with Director to strategize profitable stales and goals, managing customers based on revenue and profitability.
  • Daily use of CRM and Power BI to collect live data to make effective decisions.
  • Effectively communicate corporate strategy and initiatives to entire team within the region.
  • Implement and apply recruitment, orientation, training, coaching, counseling, development, and disciplinary programs.
  • Overall responsibility for the entire regional performance including revenue and profitability budgets.
  • Establish and monitor clear and attainable performance goals for direct reports.
  • Assist in process reengineering by integrating business requirements and systems.
  • Forecast and prepare all sales & operating budgets (partnering with Sales & Operations Managers.).
  • Host quarterly business reviews.
  • Implement organizational strategies for the branch that align with corporate vision, goals and strategic priorities.
  • Recommend continuous improvements to policies and processes.
  • Monthly review of profitability by customer.
  • Develop new areas of business by seeking out opportunities to increase revenue stream while maintaining an acceptable level of risk.
  • Overall execution of corporate strategy.
  • Ensure accurate entry of sales amounts to match to purchase orders, RMAs and credits and adjustments.
  • Display consistent leadership amongst support departments and work collaboratively to achieve a positive customer experience and maintain strong overall net profit performance in alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Cascade corporate initiatives and directives in management team.
  • Implement and monitor Lean initiatives.
  • Review and approval of all Account Manager expense reports.
  • Communicate and model AWW corporate values and vision.
  • Recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and increase sales potential.


FIRST YEAR – MEASURES OF SUCCESS

  • Build strong customer relationships where the customers feel confident and trusting in AWW, they see the value of AWW and they recognize AWW is there in partnership to drive solutions for their business.
  • Be accountable and achieve sales and profit budgets set in partnership with the Regional Manager for the region.
  • Build strong and trusting relationships with the team ensuring the team feel supported, have a clear vision, understand how their role contributes to the bigger picture and that roadblocks are removed to allow for their success.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration or Commerce is an asset.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered in lieu of post secondary education.


Experience

  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years progressively more responsible experience in sales management.
  • High level of leadership capability.
  • Ability to be forward thinking with a positive attitude with a sturdy backbone to ensure that results are achieved.
  • Strong leadership traits that foster a sentiment of desired growth and success of direct reports.

  • Experience in window/door manufacturing would be an asset but not a requirement.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position will work on-site at the Langley Customer Service Center and will be required to travel throughout the region, at your discretion, to coach and mentor your sales team and to be available for customer connections. Estimated travel is 20-25%.
