Flight Cannabis Co. is in search of an experienced and passionate Regional Manager to join our team and to support our growth with the opening of new locations on Vancouver Island!
Job Purpose:
The Regional Manager, Flight Cannabis reports the Chief Operating Officer for The Truffles Group and is responsible for the overall operations of our Flight Cannabis Co. locations. The Regional Manager provides regional level management, support, and leadership to all Flight Cannabis Co. locations including reporting pertaining to market, product, and inventory analysis.
This is a hands-on environment leading an emerging brand in an ever-evolving Cannabis landscape to become Vancouver Island’s Premier Cannabis Retailer while working closely with the management team to champion the great working environment & culture that has been created by Flight Cannabis Co. and The Truffles Group. The Regional Manager will provide a culture of knowledge, engagement, and trust for our team and guests. The Regional Manager, Flight Cannabis will ensure all policies and procedures are being followed, coach for an elevated guest and team experience, research and develop new procedures to drive efficiency, and ensure operational consistencies between all Flight Cannabis locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review monthly financials with GMs and Chief Operating Officer and make recommendations for ways to increase sales, maximize margins, and reduce expenses.
- Work with the GMs and property management companies to ensure the overall maintenance of the stores.
- Such other and unrelated duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Employer.
- Work with the Operations Manager to coach, train & develop management roles within Flight Cannabis for succession planning.
- Provide support and coaching to the GMs with any operational concerns that require a higher-level attention.
- In conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer for (TTG) implement strategic initiatives, drive revenue, manage expenses and ensure an elevated guest and team experience.
- Support and work with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure all company guidelines are being met.
- Ensure GMs hold regular staff meetings and attend these meetings.
- Responsible for all people management functions for Flight locations and act as support to the GMs as required, including but not limited to conducting performance reviews for all direct reports, being the first point of contact for performance related concerns, supporting with recruitment and onboarding of team members, working with the GMs, Chief Operating Officer and HR to manage employee leaves and ensuring all processes and practices are in line with all relevant legislations and company policies.
- Oversee the daily operations for all Flight Cannabis locations and develop and maintain operational efficiencies.
- Act as a backup for General Managers (GMs) to cover vacation and sick time and working on the floor when necessary.
- Work with GMs to ensure cultural & staff initiatives are developed and maintained.
Education, Skills and Qualifications:
This position requires a solid combination of business management with industry related sales and hospitality knowledge, strong communication, and leadership skills, as well as:
- Demonstrated experience in people management, driving operational efficiencies and providing an elevated guest experience through service, brand, and store appearance.
- Selling It Right certification, and minimum 19 years of age.
- Ability to lead a team with confidence, compassion & support.
- Demonstrates a high level of ethics, values, integrity and trust.
- Demonstrated experience in driving business results and brand growth.
- Strong knowledge of and passion for the Cannabis industry.
- Strong ability to analyze data and understand trends and make purposeful strategic decisions.
- Strong skills in MS Office, retail POS systems, and office administration.
- 3 to 5 years of retail management experience within a customer-facing sales setting.

Position Details:
Permanent, Full-Time. Working hours will generally occur from Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Hours of work will vary and may be irregular and will be those hours required to meet the requirements of the role. Travel is required to visit locations across Vancouver Island (ie. South Island to Mid Island regions).
