BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS

Has obtained a post-secondary diploma or degree, ideally in Business, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management. Has a minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience. Ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong work ethic and positive team attitude. Strong oral and written communications skills. Candidate should have a strong level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products with above average knowledge/skills in Excel. Experience and knowledge of the Epicor P21 system is an asset

ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE

Under the direction of the Purchasing Manager, the Purchasing Coordinator’s function is to source and buy supplies as well as materials. They will successfully manage vendors with the goal of increasing inventory turns and sourcing high quality products at the best price, delivered on time and complete.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage entire supply chain cycle from Purchase order to receipt.
• Develop and manage vendor score cards for performance and reviews.
• Performs and coordinates various administrative/ad-hoc duties for the Management team when required
• Negotiate pricing for materials and supplies.
• Collaborate with internal customers and provide high level of customer service, including recommended solutions, resources and alternative supply options.
• Evaluate and source existing and new vendors for materials, equipment, supplies and service.
• · Preparation and coordination of all aspects of the bidding process for RF’s (e.g. Request for Proposal, Request for information, Request for Quote).
• Work closely with sales departments to ensure proper communication and planning of material supply.
• Ensures that sufficient inventory levels are maintained for all items and that PO’s are in accordance with supplier lead times and customer requirements
• Communicate supplier issues, performance concerns and non-compliance concerns to all relevant parties
