Senior Specialist, Procurement
As the Senior Specialist, Procurement, you maintain compliance with procurement regulations and Vancity requirements. You provide various lines of business with guidance and support to achieve business results through vendor and and contract management systems, while mitigating third party arrangement risks.

This competitively rewarded role will enjoy hybrid/ remote working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and/or your Lower Mainland or out of province based home office. Periodically, in-person events or activities will be required of you.
A typical day would involve:
- Lead the organization in managing and optimizing contract management, including acting as lead for this program, providing advice as a subject matter expert to the lines of business. Focus on mitigation of conflict, mitigation of contract risks, and collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Accountable for producing documentation reports as requested by internal and external auditors, OSFI and BCFSA.
- Own central procurement/contract management data registries and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the data.
- Support the Purchasing Manager with the creation of strategy, systems, procedures, guidelines to ensure the operational success of the Procurement function.
- Accountable for regulatory and compliance reporting related to procurement and contract management for the Vancity annual report and reports required by OSFI, BCFSA , the Vancity Board and executive management committees.
- Accountable for the operational success of the internal software platform, including training internal managers on how to use the platform, and utilize reporting capabilities. Train external suppliers on how to enroll and use the vendor portal.
- Provide advice to the business on financial risks and obligations during the development of complex and significant goods and services contracts. Negotiates to enable optimal value and to mitigate risk for the organization.
- Accountable for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the vendor performance management program including developing workflows, procedures, training for internal and external stakeholders and engagement with key parties for successful implementation and sustainment of the program.
- Consult with external and internal stakeholders to diagnose needs, challenges, risks and opportunities in order to develop and implement process and/or technology solutions
You have:
- Systems technology deployment
- 5-10 years’ experience in related fields
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management
- PMP preferred.
- Contract Management
- Data analytics and database administration
- Data Analytics / administration certificate preferred.
- Vendor Management
- Sustainable and Social Procurement
- SCMP or equivalent
- Software experience: Gatekeeper, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Dynamics or other accounting programs, contract management programs or ERP systems

- Problem Solver- This role will provide expertise and leadership inside and outside the organization in regards of contract and procurement policies, procedures, platforms and systems, including providing coaching, training and expertise as aligned to the user’s level of knowledge and rate/approach to learning.
Salary Range : $71,500-$107,300
